Scientific research has proven, over the last 400 years, that no matter what people believe: there is no way to change the Earth's orbit to stop global warming with just "jumping people".
WHY IS WORLD JUMP DAY A HOAX?
1. Newton's first law of motion states that to every action there is a equal and opposite reaction. The planet and its people are a gravitational system: when people jump upwards, the planet moves downwards. When people fall, the planet "goes up". The total effect of the movement is cancelled-out.
2. On another hand, 600 million people is a small mass: if an asteroid that big should collide with the Earth, the resulting energy would equal 2% that of a nuclear bomb. In theory, such a force would only move the planet the distance of the width of a single hydrogen atom!
3. Ignoring the two previous reasons, a collission big enough would not change the distance of the orbit, but it would change the shape of an already elliptic trail (it would make it more eccentric). The orbit of the Earth is already elliptic, and that doesn't cause changes of temperature.
